• Large (36" x 48") This size is appropriate for all breeds up to 150 pounds. For example: Akita, Bernese Mountain Dog, Collie, Chesapeake Bay Retriever, German Shepard, Great Pyrenees, Large Lab and Golden, Newfoundland, Rottweiler, Saint Bernard.
• Extra Large (36" 72) Holds up to 150 lbs. The X-Large is for Giant breeds and families with several dogs that will sleep together if they are cool enough. The Giant breeds are more sensitive to size (they want to fit their whole body on it comfortably) so you should buy the X-Large if you have a St. Bernard, Great Dane, Mastiff, Irish Wolfhound, or more than one dog in your family.
